Free melexes (low-speed electric vehicles), additional seasonal lines, route extensions, higher frequency of connections - these are the assumptions of the summer transport offer prepared by the Municipal Transport Authority in Gdynia. According to the Municipal Transport Authority in Gdynia, from June 24, due to the start of school holidays, seasonal lines M, 326 and 365 will be launched. Melex buses will also appear on the streets. In addition, the scope of service will be extended on lines 109 and N65.
- Melex cars, which are very popular among residents and tourists, have already become part of the summer landscape of Gdynia, becoming an attraction in themselves - says Katarzyna Gruszecka-Spychała, Deputy Mayor of Gdynia for Economy. - This year we are expanding our offer: we will go by electric car not only to Orłowo, but also to Śródmieście. What is important, the vehicles will operate every day for 10 hours, and the ride on both routes will be free of charge. I invite you to use these electric, slow-moving vehicles - adds Katarzyna Gruszecka-Spychała.
The Śródmiejski Melex line will operate daily from 10:00-20:00 on the route: Abrahama Woonerf - Abrahama - Home Army - Śródmieście Beach - Gdynia City Museum - Council of Europe Park - Kosciuszko Square - Shipping Harbor - Kosciuszko Square - 10 February - Abrahama. It is a toll-free line operated by low-speed electric vehicles.
On the other hand, the offer of the Orłowski Meleks line can be used on all days of the week, between 10:00 and 20:00 on the route: Orłowo CH Klif - Orłowo SKM - Orłowska - Orłowo Molo. It will also be a toll-free line, served by low-speed electric vehicles.

Here are the details of the summer transport offer of ZKM in Gdynia:
M express line - The line will operate daily on the route: Rumia Railway Station - Rumia Janowo - Kazimierz - Dębogórze - Kosakowo - Mosty - Rewa.
Line 365 - The line will provide a weekend connection from Obłuża, through Pogórze Dolne, Pogórze Górne, Kosakowo and Mosty to the beach in Rewa.
Line 109 - On all days of the week, all courses on line 109 from around 9.30-18:00 will be extended to the Babie Doły Plaza loop. On Saturday afternoons and on Sundays and holidays, line 109 will operate with a higher frequency - every 20 minutes.
Night line N65 - This line, connecting Górne Foothills with Rewa, will operate on all nights of the week.

Historic trolleybuses will also return to the streets of Gdynia in the summer season. Operated by historic trolleybuses, line 326 will operate on Sundays and public holidays (from next Sunday, June 25) from approx. 10:00-18:00, every 30 minutes, on the route: Grabówek SKM - Śródmieście - Orłowo SKM - Klif.
Three of the following five vehicles will run on line 326 in rotation:
Saurer ST4IILM - from 1957,
Skoda 9Tr - from 1975,
ZiU 682B - from 1984,
Jelcz 120 MTE - from 1994,
Mercedes-Benz O405NE - 1994 (this year's debut as a historic vehicle).
The summer communication offer will be valid until September 3.
